Cervecera de Canarias — Rebranding the visual identity

Visual Identity Graphic Design

Cervecera de Canarias is one of the leading companies in its field and throughout the Canary Islands. That is why, with this project in collaboration with the Cultural Design Classroom at the University of La Laguna, they are embarking on a project to refresh their corporate visual identity and connect more closely with the new needs of the company and its target audience.

“Cervecera de Canarias, the leading beer producer in the Canary Islands and the islands' largest manufacturing industry, has been part of the lives of canarians since 1924 with La Tropical and since 1939 with CCC Dorada.”

The need for a change of this scale arose from the discrepancy detected between the reality of Cervecera de Canarias today—a forward-looking, dynamic company with growth potential, progress, and regional leadership—and the perception that consumers held of it.

That is why this project was initiated, ranging from the implementation of the new company name and the proposal for a new logo and symbol, to the design of the brand's communication materials. The redesign process was carried out in collaboration with the company, combining the experience and history of the company, as well as its employees and managers, with the fresh and approachable vision of the new generations of the team.

Moreover, the graphic brand now appears in many more forms of media than when the brewery first started, so the focus remained on the adaptability of the new brand to digital and modern media.

“Committed to the quality of our beers, brewed right here, close by, in the factories of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, with the same expertise as always and using the finest ingredients.”

As part of the project, we delivered a document that contains the guidelines and rules on how to use the brand, including a detailed description of the different brand elements and instructions on how to use them correctly.

This brandbook serves as a reference for all those profiles that work with the graphic brand and its variants.
